Come with us on this majestical unique adventure! We’ll start with a 45-minute boat ride (to go up-stream) on the Colorado River from Lees Ferry through Marble Canyon to the Glen Canyon Dam and then head back downstream and get dropped off at Petroglyphs Beach where you can take a short stroll to see the petroglyphs. We’ll get in the kayaks and head back to Lees Ferry paddling through the world-famous Horseshoe Bend.
You will need to be at the Lees Ferry boat ramp by 7:30 AM for the 8:00 AM backhaul (boat ride up stream). We should be back to Lees Ferry around 2:00 PM or 3:00 PM depending upon how many stops we make along the way.
CAUTION- Family & Friends-There is no turning around and going back! You will be paddling for 5 - 6 hours at your own pace and we do take breaks. Athletes will have assistance if needed. We are unable to assist anyone else with paddling. Keep in mind we will be on the river all day without a way to go back to the boat ramp unless you paddle.
If you’re interested in more kayaking check out the Triple Canyon Kayak Adventure!

The programs facilitated by AAWS have proven to be life-altering experiences for both volunteers and participants alike. Ryan Paul Johnson, the charismatic host of "Laugh Your AAWS Off," discovered his passion for stand-up comedy following a memorable water skiing session with AAWS. Over the past decade, RPJ has delighted audiences with his uproarious tales of triumph over life's challenges, drawing inspiration from his own journey of navigating life with a spinal cord injury.
It's worth noting that AAWS has empowered countless individuals to achieve remarkable feats in their own lives, leaving an indelible impact on those who have engaged with the program
